I'm wondering about something - perhaps you would know. . is there a "ribbon" to commemorate prevention of prematurity specifically? I know that the MOD has used pink/blue ribbons for prematurity "awareness". .however, I see from doing some searching that this also commemorates infant loss and a few other things, not specific to prematurity. Would you be interested in launching a "prevent prematurity" ribbon through your sight by asking your list members for suggestions? My thought was "mother of pearl". "
Does anyone know if there is a ribbon specifically to draw awareness to the *prevention* of prematurity?

The ribbon is the same but there is a website where you can personalize our own Ribbon and the proceeds go to charity and not the MOD. ( I for one have a hard time with the MOD so I went with this one.) I will be launching a month of prematurity on my blog and would love for you to join and will also be using some of your topics as well Miss Stacy... If you want we can do something together.... SO>.. let me know if you want the link for the pink aka RIbbon

And yes, if we can not support the MOD, I'm all for it. The Mother of Pearl would be unique and might be a nice alternative to the pink or pink/blue?
The ribbon on the site that I bought was blue and pink. I personalized it saying.. proud mom to a 25.3 week miracle. Proceeds DO NOT GO TO THE MOD!!!!
The mother of pearl would be nice and maybe a little purple heart on it. Just a thought.

(Not only is November "prematurity awareness month", it is also "caregiver awareness month" - how fitting.)
I think that the mother of pearl together with the purple heart really show how challenging it is to be a mother of a preemie.
Mother of pearl is also used for emphasema awareness.

Hi I am the founder of an organization called Preemie Prints. We are raising money for premature babies, NICU research, and we have support programs that benefit NICU families. We are on the grow and making custom shirts for our babies. We would like to include ribbon on the shirts for awareness but I'm confused by all of the different options.
